With your Student Checking Account, you can also open a FSG Smart Savings Account and start setting aside money for a later day. Your Smart Savings earns you interest as it grows, and there's no monthly fee attached since you're a Student Checking account holder. Use the saving account, too, to back up your checking and avoid the expensive NSF fees in the case of an overdraft.

General Account Qualifications
FSG's Student Checking is designed for students ages 18-24. Proof of current student status is needed when you enroll for the account. When you turn 25 years old, your Student Checking Account automatically changes to a FSG Value Checking Account.
Application and credit approval are required for Visa College Credit Card.
Monthly Fees
The Student Checking Account has no minimum balance and no monthly fee. However, a minimum deposit of $100 is required to open the account.
ATM Information
FSG is a member of the MoneyPass ATM network . "Non-FSG ATM" applies to ATMs outside the FSG Bank and MoneyPass networks
Other Terms & Fees
Fees may apply where FSG covers charges to insufficient funds in the account. Student Checking Account holders may opt in to Bounce Plus Protection in order to avoid NSF fees in case of overdrawing the account. Overdraft Protection is also available to you for avoiding these fees. The Overdraft Protection Transfer Fee is $6.95 per transfer for Student Checking.
Mailed statements are available for a nominal fee.
Shipping and handling is not included for the first free order of checks.
